Compassion Meditation

Hey World,
Mark your calendars. There is going to be an open mediation session on  the quad on Tuesday the 16th.

Compassion Meditation
Office of Health Promotion at Student Health and Counseling Services
Quad (Rain location: Cannon Chapel)
11:00AM-3:00PM
All members of the Emory community are invited to drop by the Quad for a brief meditation on Lovingkindness (Metta in Pali, the language of early Buddhist texts).  Meditation on compassion and lovingkindness is scientifically known to reduce stress, improve concentration and memory, strengthen immunity, and foster a sense of wellbeing.  Participants will, as desired, take turns reading a short, simple, non-religious set of phrases to help develop a positive state of mind.  Participants can join or leave the circle at any time.
