Each November, the Emory community celebrates Unity Month – a month of reflection, recognition of our personal histories, and celebration of the cultural diversity that molds our Emory community. The Office of Multicultural Programs and Services and the Unity Planning Committee coordinates a University-wide effort to create opportunities for students, staff, faculty, and administrators to become both educators and learners inside and outside of the classroom. Some of these programs include the Unity Month Kick-off, the Keynote, Cultural Beats, and Unity Ball, which strive to foster greater understanding and appreciation among all groups of intersections and fusions that exist between oneself and the community.
